The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Perambalur District, Tamil Nadu, under the Department of Children Welfare & Special Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, is inviting applications for two contractual positions. Eligibility Criteria
1. Protection Officer (Non-Institutional Care) ✅ Essential Qualification:
A post-graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management from a recognized university.
OR
A graduate degree in the above-mentioned fields with at least 2 years of experience in project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and supervision, preferably in the field of Women & Child Development or Social Welfare.
✅ Experience:
At least 2 years of project experience in a related field. Computer proficiency is also required.
2. Legal-cum-Probation Officer (LCPO)
✅ Essential Qualification:
An LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree from a recognized university.
✅ Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with a government or non-governmental organization (NGO) on legal matters, with a preference for experience in the field of Women & Child Rights. A strong understanding of child protection issues is a must.
